Privacy policy
Your data, plainly.
The short version: we collect your email address only if you give it to us, we use it only to tell you about Setu or to answer you, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.

Who we are
This website is run by Setu Labs (“Setu”, “we”). You can reach us about anything in this policy at contact@setu-labs.co or through our contact form.
What we collect
If you join a waitlist: your email address, which product you signed up for, the page you signed up on, and the time.
If you write to us: your email address, the topic you chose, your message, and the time.
Visit counts, without identifying you. We use Plausible Analytics to count page visits and waitlist sign-ups. It sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses and collects no personal data; we see only totals, such as how many people read a page. This site shows no advertising and does not track you across other sites.
Why we use it
To email you about the product you signed up for, such as availability and early access, and to reply to messages. When you join a waitlist you receive one automatic confirmation email. We will not add you to anything else without asking. Every email we send will let you unsubscribe.
Where it is kept
Submissions are delivered to our email inbox, contact@setu-labs.co, by FormSubmit, a form-delivery service that processes them for us under its own terms. Only the Setu team can read that inbox. We keep waitlist entries until you ask us to remove them or the waitlist closes, and messages for as long as we need to answer them.
Who we share it with
Nobody, apart from the service providers needed to run this site and store submissions. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we will never use it for advertising.
Services this site uses
Fonts and images are served from this site itself. Three outside services are involved: Plausible, for the visit counts above; FormSubmit, which delivers form entries to our inbox; and Cal.com, which shows our booking calendar only when you click “Let’s talk”. Cal.com receives your IP address when the calendar opens, and anything you enter there is handled under Cal.com’s own terms.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, at any time and for free. Email contact@setu-labs.co from the same address you signed up with, and we will act within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has signed up, tell us and we will delete it.
Data from our devices
Setu Glasses and Setu Cap are not yet on sale, and this website collects no data from any device. Before any device ships, it will come with its own privacy policy. It will keep the commitments in our manifesto: sensing is off until you turn it on, what a device reads stays on it wherever the engineering allows, and nothing it reads will ever be used for advertising.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we will email you first.
